: Part of a christening gown. Deep cream viyella type fine woollen coat and overlying cape. Lined in silk. Decorated with machine embroidery of stylised flowers and an embroidered, broderie anglaise style self fabric trim. Jacket has a yoke and sleeves in the broderie anglaise material. Hem has broderie anglaise and scalloped border. Edge to edge front fastening, tied with 3 bows. Cape is attached at the collar with a round yoke, broderie anglaise and lined with fine silk (silk damaged and shattering in places). The neck fastens with two 25mm wide grosgrain ribbons. Some moth damage.
