: Fore and aft hat - worn by a member of the Ceylon Civil Service as a volunteer in The Ceylon Planters Rifles Corps. Felted stroud cloth. Black cotton lining and white cool sweatband. Two black buttons at the front of a crowned bugle. Cap badge - three leaves above a ribbon which says ‘Unitas salus nostra’ ‘Ceylon Planters Rifle Core.’ Written on the sweat band is the name ‘Baron’. Quite moth eaten.
