Description: Cap from WWII Royal Canadian Air Force Sergeant's uniform, dated to 1943. Air force blue serge field service cap made of two pieces of material with seam front to back. There is a metal eyelet on either side of the head. Folded gusset across the top. Side pieces are buttoned with two brass buttons at front. Crowned winged bird with RCAF. Large brass cap badge for the RAF. Lined in black cotton with a blue cotton sweatband. Stamped national hat ‘MFG Co 1942 7 5/8’.
