: Armament
: An Issa/Danaki people knife from Somalia, called a jile or gile. Double edged blade. Horn or wood handle with inverted brass cone. The blade is blunt. Scabbard is on a wooden former. Hide stretched and stitched at the back. Shaped to fit the curved blade. Wire decoration at the top and a metal chape at the end. Long strap attached with brown hide strips with a metal buckle. Very dried out and deformed.
