Description: Navel bicorn hat from Lieutenant Commander Goodenough. Black bicorn hat in beaver or bear fur with the brim edged with a black brocade tape and folded up at the sides to form the bicorn shape. At each end there is a gold knot and wire tassels and two rows of the twisted wire tassel on one side of the hat. Wide leather sweatband and a silk lining which is stamped ‘Gieves Ltd. 21 Old Bond St London, and at 118 St Edinburgh. Branches, Portsmouth, Devonport, Weymouth, Dover, Chatham, Sheerness, Harwich.
