: 1) Bisque headed composition doll. Made by the doll maker Armand Marseille. 1918. Doll has a bisque head with a young girl's face. Blue glass, moving eyes with no eyelashes. Open mouth reveals two teeth and tongue. Eyebrows painted and short, matted blonde synthetic hair. Mark on back of neck: 'Germany 990 A13M'. Body is composition with chubby, bent arms and legs - moveable at tops only. Glaze is missing from arms. 2) Linen bonnet has material pleated into crown at back of head and is trimmed with synthetic swansdown. White. 3) Linen white cloak and trimmed with swansdown under which a tie string and threaded. 4) White linen dress. Knee length, short sleeves. Back fastening with 2 press studs. Original pale blue colour can be seen at back of neck. 5) White linen petticoat. Trimmed with machine lace. Back fastened with 2 press studs. Sleeveless. 6) White linen drawers trimmed with machine lace. Elastic has deteriorated. 7 & 8) Pair of white socks which end just below the knee. 9 and 10) Pair of black (plastic?) shoes with elastic threaded through the buckles. Swansdown bobbles on each toe.
