Object Name: hat

Description: Man’s hat - tall, made of narrow strip, indigo cloth. Circular crown with deep straight sides stitched at edge. Embroidered in rust and white cotton. In centre of crown is a northern knot with concentric circles around it. Three rows of embroidery around the sides - narrow interwoven band near the top, interwoven diamonds in the centre, and at bottom there are northern knots and interlaced circles. Lined in pale blue cotton. Embroidery stitches goes straight through the lining.
