: A man’s hat, probably Hausa - black velour circular crown. Embroidered all over with a northern knot motif in a pink and pale yellow/green, and yellow silk or rayon thread in chain stitch. Deep straight sides embroidered in two rows of panels between complex interlace patterns in pink and pale green, cross patterns in yellow with a band around the rim of circles in pale green. Probably machine embroidered. Lined in green cotton gingham.
