: 1930s black velvet and chiffon ankle length evening dress. The bodice has short puff-headed sleeves and the lower bodice section is velvet studded with clamped rhinestones. The lower bodice is appliqued in pointed shapes onto upper section of black chiffon. The black chiffon is lined with flesh coloured chiffon. The velvet dress skirt is bias cut and flares into fullness at the base. It has a velvet belt laid on the skirt/petersham ribbon with a diamante clasp. The back bodice is fastened in the centre with 7 rouleau/ self button fastening. There is an attached label stating size 42 at the back, inside the garment. the dress is constructed with the bodice/skirt base slightly higher than the naturel waist. Shoulder to waist front 36cm. Waist to skirt front hem 107cm.
