Description: From a collection of 18 mascots carried by WW1 soldiers. 10. Hand and Compass amulet, worn by the soldiers of Japan in the war. 1917 Preesde brass(?) hand, with small glass-covered compass set in palm on one side. Other side has seams as in a glove on the thimb and on the back of the hand. Loop at end for suspension.
