: Centre-fire revolver Webley & Scott Mark III military revolver of 1897, retailed by George Gibbs, Bristol. Six shot fluted cylinder stamped with London proof marks, the serial number 058 and .38. Steel barrel and frame, the two hinged together with release catch for tip down loading. The octagonal rifled barrel with raised blade sight, stamped along the top George Gibbs, Corn St. Bristol, the left side of the top strap stamped 'MARK III 38'. The frame containing the lock mechanism and with the barrel release catch on the left side. The left side of the frame stamped with Webley & Scott trade mark, the right side stamped 'Webley Patent' and the serial number 10056. The rear part of the frame forming a support for the grips. Loop shaped trigger and guard. 2-piece chequered wooden grips with central screw fixing and lanyard ring.
