Description: Cased pair of percussion holster pistols by Purdey, London. Round Damascus twist barrels with flattened top engraved Purdey, London, with bead foresight and captive ramrod with swivel. Retained to the stock by 1 barrel slide with silver escutcheons. Engraved breech with gold line, raised rear sight and removable safety vent. Walnut full stock with chequered grip. Engraved steel furniture comprising trigger guard, butt cap with cap compartment, and 2 ramrod pipes. Back action percussion lock, engraved overall and signed Purdey. Sliding bolt safety behind hammer. Retained to the stock by 1 sidenail. Mahogany case with compartment and lined with green baise. Purdey trade label in lid. Brass hinges, catches and concealed handle.
