Description: Air gun by William Hole, Bristol. Tapering round iron barrel with flattened breech, multi-groove rifling and attached under rib with 2 ramrod pipes. Bead foresight and raised V rear-sight. Engraved box lock frame containing valve and rotating breech 'tap' for breech loading, signed on the left side of frame W. Hole. Iron buttplate and trigger guard with scroll form ginger grip. Vacant white metal escutcheon. Walnut stock with chequered wrist and separate fore-stock attached by 1 barrel slide with white metal escutcheons and fore-end cap. Large copper and brass screw-on air reservoir.
