Description: Flintlock military carbine - New Land Pattern Sergeants Carbine. Round iron smooth bore barrel, with blade fore-sight and standing rear-sight, the breech stamped with Kings Proof Mark (crossed sceptres and crown stamped twice). Retained to the stock with 3 barrel slides. Ramrod missing. Walnut three-quarter stock with Ordnance markings. Brass furniture comprising; butt plate, trigger guard with finger rest, sideplate with retaining screw, fore-end cap and 2 ramrod pipes. Sling swivels missing. Flat form New Land Pattern flintlock, stamped TOWER and GR under a Crown. Retained to the stock by 2 sidenails.
