Description: Flintlock military carbine - Late Land Pattern Sergeants Carbine. Round iron smooth bore barrel, with brass blade fore-sight, the breech stamped with Kings Proof Mark (crossed sceptres and crown). Retained to the stock with 2 barrel pins. Ramrod missing. Walnut full stock with hand-rail form wrist, raised apron behind the barrel tang and Ordnance markings. Brass furniture comprising; butt plate, trigger guard, sideplate with retaining screw, fore-end cap and 2 ramrod pipes. Rounded form Late Land Pattern flintlock, stamped 'TOWER, GR' under a Crown and inspector's mark. Retained to the stock by 2 sidenails.
