Description: Flintlock blunderbuss, by Wilkinson. Round brass barrel formed in 2 stages, octagonal at the breech then round to the flared muzzle. The muzzle formed with cannon like ring mouldings, the breech stamped with Birmingham Proof Company marks and engraved Bristol. Top mounted iron bayonet of triangular form with retaining catches on the barrel tang and muzzle. Retained to the stock with 2 barrel slides. Ramrod missing. Walnut full stock with chequered wrist. Engraved brass furniture comprising; butt plate, trigger guard with pineapple finial and 2 ramrod pipes. Flat form flintlock,signed Wilkinson. Frizzen with anti-friction roller. Retained to the stock by 2 sidenails.
