: British flintlock military India Pattern musket. Round iron barrel, the breech stamped with the Kings proof mark (crossed sceptres & crown and crossed sceptres and GR). Muzzle with bayonet stud. Secured to the stock by 3 barrel pins. Iron ramrod. Walnut three-quarter stock with hand-rail form butt and raised carved apron around the barrel tang and a 'swell' to the forestock near the rear ramrod pipe. The butt stamped with Ordnance markings and and date 1806. Left side of stock stamped with the initials WA, WN and a crowned P. Brass furniture consisting butt plate, trigger guard with rear sling swivel, 3 ramrod pipes, nose-cap and sideplate. Fore-stock with iron sling swivel. Original whitened leather sling. Pattern flintlock with rounded plate and ring-necked cock. The plate with border line engraving, stamped with Royal cypher (Crown over GR), the tail engraved TOWER, Broad-arrow & crown (Government ownership marks). Secured to the stock by 2 sidenails. Steel socket bayonet with triangular form blade 43 cm in length and stamped with Ordnance marks and the name Osborn
