Description: GWR (Great Western Railways) jig-saw puzzle. Design No.2344. Puzzle depicts a painting by an unknown artist of Windsor Castle. In the background the Royal Standard is shown flying on the round tower of the castle on its mound, and in the foreground the mediaeval King and his knights are in armour and on horseback. It is the second of three GWR puzzles which depict Windsor Castle. Hand cut plywood, portrait, colour puzzle of about 150 pieces. Brown card board box with black label on the lid which shows a small Key picture and the coats of arms of London and Bristol and the GWR monogram consisting of 'GWR' in large red italics.
