: Lead fire insurance mark, Dublin company. Shield with the Arms of the City of Dublin (three castles in flames) with open work scrolls surmounted by a bow. Panel for a policy number below inscribed 1802. Judging by the appearance, this mark was originally 802 but was subsequently re-used and stamped with an additional '1'. The mark would have been painted blue and gold with red flames. Mark issued about 1754. From an old building in Drogheda.
