: Ivory oval stands of each ear plug have got a small oval piece cut out of each of the two surfaces and the pieces replaced (in one they are removable). The ear plugs are fixed into a small hole cut into the upper surface (one plug is difficult to remove 1977). Each plug is the shape of a tusk and a figure of a man lying sideways is carved 4cm below the tip of each "tusk". There are also carved indentations and holes on one side of each ivory stand.
