Description: "Marcella" wedding outfit - Irish tweed. Jacket (see skirt also TD31104.2)- The jacket is 570mm in length. The tweed material has shades of green, dark blue, light blue and copper in it. It has a centre seam at the back and is Waisted. It has long sleeves and cuffs that have been stiffened and cut to form points. It has a rever collar and four hidden pockets: two above the bust and two below waist level. The pockets above the bust line are edged. At the front of the jacket there are darts from the bust to the hem. The jacket has three large plastic brown buttons at the centre front and has a brown man made fibre (rayon) lining. Label at neck states: "Designed and Tailored for Barnett - Hutton Ltd by Harella". Label at side states: "Guaranteed Irish Tweed". Circa 1950.
