: A so-called 'woman's tail-piece' made of a belt of beads with two long fibre tassels. Consists of a decorative panel made from glass seed beads woven together. The design is made from a central line of black beads bordered with white beads and smaller red beads on the edges, there is the occasional blue and yellow bead interspersed. Two tassels extend from the panel made from strands of twisted string made from plant fibre. Attributed to the Lokele people. Collected by Rev. Kenred Smith in Northern Democratic Republic of Congo when it was the Congo Free State and later Belgian Congo. He was primarily based at Bopoto (Upoto) Station, a Baptist Missionary Society post on the Upper River from the years 1896 - 1914.
