: Metal knife with wooden handle. The blade is an elongated bulb shape with a slightly rounded tip. It has subtle incised decoration on both sides in the form of striated lines following the curve of the blade. The handle has metal wire woven round the grip and ends with a wooden rectangular block. Collected by Rev. Kenred Smith in Northern Democratic Republic of Congo when it was the Congo Free State and later Belgian Congo. He was primarily based at Bopoto (Upoto) Station, a Baptist Missionary Society post on the Upper River from the years 1896 - 1914.
