Object Name: Dish

Description: Dish of porcelain in the shape of a double truncated ellipses, with brown 'lip rouge' glaze along rim (Japanese: fuchibeni 縁紅) and decorated in underglaze blue. Moulded in low relif are two dragons and two sacred wish-fulfilling jewels. In the centre is a design of two sweetfish with swirls and lines representing flowing water in underglaze blue. The underside is left plain and there is a low circular footring on the base. A previous break has been repaired with three rivets visible from the underside.
