: A metal 'guerilla' plaque placed at the spot where the statue of Edward Colston was dumped into the water at Pero's Bridge, 7 June 2021 to mark the one year anniversary of the statue's toppling. It was designed by John Packer and installed by The Guerilla Historians, an anonymous group. Inscribed: "June 7th, 2020: At this spot, during worldwide anti-racism protests, a | statue celebrating the 17th century slave-trader Edward Colston was | thrown into the harbour by ['some of' inserted in handwriting] the people of Bristol. Various campaigns to have the statue removed through official | channels had been frustrated. / ''You came down easy in the end. | As you landed | A piece of you fell off, broke away, | And inside, nothing but air. | This whole time, you were hollow'' - Vanessa Kisuule - Bristol City Poet 2020". The bottom of the plaque is illustrated with a silhouetted image of crowds by the falling statue of Edward Colston. On the back is a QR code linked to 'Munzee Freeze Tag Games' (a global scavenger hunt where QR codes are found).
