: textile: Mola panel or reverse appliqué embroidery. Panels used to make the blouse worn by women: also now for sale to tourists. Three layers of cotton, red, orange, blue, cut and stitched to make abstract pattern of two large figures with animal and bird figures in and around them, with applied patches of green, dark blue, yellow and pink adding to the design. All 4 sides turned and stitched down. Hand sewn. Bottom layer marked with stitching on reverse. New.
