: Chullu, hat, knitted in acrylic yarn, with earflaps, tassel on crown and tasseled braid ties. Crown knitted on 5 wire needles stripped from car tyres. Crown worked in 4 motif bands on white ground, with plain narrow bands between. Alternating bands of reverse emphasis key motif laid out in chevrons, and olive branch diamonds with condors. Ties have flat wool discs on 80 strand two colour flat braids in oblique interlacing dividing into 2x40 strand braids. Bought at the Sunday feria from Miguel Condori Pecacho, who reckoned to knit an inch per day, one month to knit the whole chullu. Seam near the top deals with a bulge that spoiled the shape of the chullu
