: amulet

: This is a green faience amulet now mostly brown. It is moulded in the form of the goddess Sekhmet. She has a roughly moulded cat face with a pointed nose and pointed ears. She is seated on an undecorated throne with one arm bent at the elbow (partly missing), and the other straight, both placed on her lap. Her legs are straight down in front of her. The amulet has a small base, tapering towards the front.There is a loop at the back of her head which is pierced widthways.
