: 'Sekhmet' statue cast. A woman seated on a block throne, wearing a long, plain dress. She has a her hands on her lap with an 'ankh' in her left hand. She has a lioness's head with a sun disc and uraeus (cobra) as a headdress. She has beaded collars around her neck. It is black and in two pieces - split above the navel. Two vertical lines of text either side of the front of the throne, translation (front of throne, twice): (names of Amenhotep III) beloved of Sekhmet, who causes rejoicing (lit. stretches hearts) On the sides of the throne are the entwined lotus and papyrus symbol representing the union of Upper and Lower Egypt.
