: aryballos

: Corinthian round aryballos, type C flat-bottomed, with globular body, short neck, disc mouth, vertical ribbon handle and ring foot. Decoration of black tongues on rim and shoulder. The handle is decorated with a thick zigzag black lined design. The body is decorated with a large griffin and a panther covering most of the body. Details are incised on and overpainted in red, and there are rosettes motifs in field, interspersed between the creatures.
