Object Name: badge

Description: Beadwork pin badge, a small square of beadwork attached to a white brass safety pin. The badge has the red ribbon of the AIDS awareness logo on a white background. A fringe of white and red beads decorates the bottom edge. Made by Gogos - grannies - in 2 townships in Kwa Zulu Natal, in partnership with a British aid worker to create a charity, People in Need, to support children orphaned by AIDS. Based on the Zulu beaded 'love letters'.
