: Bank note printed on one side only in black ink. In the top left-hand corner are two unicorns either side of the Bristol Coat of Arms, resting on the motto "Virtute et Industria." The following is written on the note: No C[3946] Bristol BULLION Bank No C[3946] 37 Corn Street. I Promise to pay the Bearer on Demand the Sum of ONE POUND Value Rec.d Bristol the [12] day of [Sept] 18[21] For C[3946] Browne, Cavenagh, Browne & Bayly One Ent.d (faded signature) [Henry Browne ?] The paper is covered in little tiny creases and is very dirty looking through ageing. It has also been repaired during the past.
