: Bank note printed on one side of paper in black ink. In the top left-hand corner are two unicorns either side of the Bristol Coat of Arms. They are resting on the motto "Virtute et Industria" The following is written on the note: No C[1031] Bristol BULLION Bank No C[1031] 37 Corn Street. I Promise to pay the Bearer on Demand the Sum of ONE POUND Value Rec.d Bristol the [18] day of [Apl 182[1] For C[1031] One Browne, Cavenagh, Browne, Bayly. Ent.d [A.M.Newell] [Henry Browne] The paper is very dirty with age and has turned a green colour inplaces, it is creased and the edges are torn.
