: Bank note printed on both sides in black ink. On the obverse on the left-hand side is a design featuring the Bristol High Cross. There is also a first dividend paid bankruptcy stamp in the centre of the note towards the bottom. The following is written on the note: No [A3270] Bristol Tolzey Bank.No. [A3270] I Promise to pay the Bearer on Demand the sum of One Pound. Value received the [19] day of [February] 181[8] For Samuel Worrall & Andrew Pope. ONE POUND [And.w. Pope] Ent.d [J. Watson] The note is dirty through age and there are some brown stains on the note. On the reverse is a design in the centre featuring the initials of the partners underneath is written "BRISTOL", and below this along the bottom of the note are two plaques with "ONE POUND" and "TOLZEY BANK" written inside. Along the left-hand side is a bankruptcy stamp with the date 22 July 1819.
