In the top left-hand corner is a circular design featuring a building with a neo-classical facade. In the right-hand corner is a circular design featuring the Bristol Coat of Arms, surrounded by the motto "Virtute et Industria". The following is written on the note: No COMMERCIAL £FIVE BRISTOL TOKEN COMPANY Eftablished August 12th, 1811, to facilitate Trade. I Promise to Pay the Bearer the Sum of FIVE POUNDS, on Demand, at Mefs.rs Will.m Storrs Fry & Sons, Bankers in London. Value received the - day of - 181- No For Garratt, Terrell, Bird, Beck & Grigg.
