: Daub with impressions of wattle, dating to the Iron Age. Daub is a mixture of sand, clay, dung and straw that was once stuck to a woven framework (usually made of hazel or willow) to create the walls of. for example, roundhouses. This fragment is impressed with the framework strips and was excavated at Blaise Castle Hillfort.
