Katar, Indian thrusting dagger with double egde, grooved blade and swollen point. Iron hilt with gold overlay, slightly worn but especially on blade mounts. Octagonal grip bars that enlarge in the centre.

Bichwa, Indian foot dagger with recuvring blade. Iron grip with chiseled flora decoration. Damaged leather sheath.
Eastern Art (E1867)
T section steel blade with reverse curve, single edge blade, some decoration on top of the t section. The hilt is of possible ivory (walrus) (Persian, Shirmani) which is riveted onto the tang. The tang is gilded with gold flowers and a small loop at the end. The scabbard is of leather with a cober or bronze mount which was probably originally gilded. Function: the Pesh-Kabz is intended for forcing an opening in mail.

Katar, or Indian thrusting dagger broad triangular blade with midrib. Sqaurish frame blade with two cross bars. Iron with inlaid pattern of possibly gold. Sheath is cardboard covered with red velvet and yellow stitching. Ornamental brass tip. Old card states handle broken off.

Jacket, assemblage of different fabrics: collarless, slit-sleeved. Sleeves and front skirt of blue satin with brocade-woven miir-i-botehs in salmon and gold. Two side-slits. Sleeves lined with brown taffeta. Bodice of soft cotton, salmon and lime green miir-i-botehs in blue. Brocade edging. Lined with printed cotton, flowers on brown, backed with blue-ground floral print cotton.

Purple silk shawl with black fringe, yellow and green woven band at each end. Label reads: "Upper shawl worn by Parsee women at Yezd. This particular colour called 'Shadow of the Mountains' is reserved for the priests' wives. Bought at Yezd by E. G. Tanner."
