Flintlock pocket pistol of small size. Iron turn-off barrel. Iron frame, signed on the left 'J & W Richards', and on the right 'London'. The breech stamped with proof marks of the London Gunmakers Company. Folding trigger. Top sliding safety catch. Walnut slab sided grip.

Adams Model 1851 self cocking percussion revolver with case by Dean, Adams & Deane, retailed by George Gibbs, Bristol. Five shot plain cylinder, each chamber marked with London proof marks. Steel barrel and frame, the octagonal barrel with blade sight and engraved Deane, Adams & Deane, (Makers to HRH Prince Albert), 30 King William St, London. Retailed by George Gibbs, Bristol - 1860s. The engraved frame containing the lock mechanism and with a hinged loading lever on the left. The right side of the frame engraved Adams Patent No.3043.The rear part of the frame forming a support for the grips. Lower tang of frame engraved 3045 R. 1-piece wooden grip, chequered, the pommel cap with a compartment for caps. Set with silver escutcheon engraved J.A.F. Oak case with escutcheon engraved J.A.F., the inside of lid with George Gibbs, Bristol trade label. Case with compartments and line with green baise. Contents missing. 1 cleaning rod present (not for revolver) and 5 lead bullets.

The blade is etched with a floral pattern, with the owner's name engraved on one side: ‘E A Robinson 12th Service Batt Glos Regt’ with a George V cypher and the Royal coat of arms.
