Doll - model of Queen Elizabeth I of England. Red hair. Dress made from red velvet with an elaborately patterned coat. Modelled from barbola wax and dressed by the donor's sister, Mrs Elizabeth Lowell-Griffin. c. 1950-6. On a metal stand.

Doll portraying Henry VIII with a bisque head and composite arms and legs. Light brown hair, open/closing eyes, mouth slightly open revealing teeth. Wearing a blue coat edged with fur, red costume and shoes, gold decoration and edging. Blue hat with feathers. Given in 1925.

Wearing a blue satin cloak and jacket decorated with gold embroidery, yellow trousers, brown velvet hat with a green feather, brown boots with blue satin turnovers.

European painted and printed folding fan. Painted paper leaf with hand painted lithograph of a group of woman and one man (the artist). Central female figure sitting for a portrait, all in late 18th century costume. Pierced bone sticks and piqué decoration.

Paper folding fan. Narrow paper leaf (reverse of chicken skin). Printed, painted and gilded: pierced and gilded mother of pearl sticks and guards. Obverse lithograph with rustic scene of courtly figures in 19th century costume; drawing, reading and conversing. Each end of leaf painted and gilded with bouquets of flowers and scrolls. Reverse painted and gilded with delicate flower sprays, a central cartouche bearing two birds. Sticks and guards decorated with scrolls, flowers, lovebirds and musical trophies. Central cartouche of a family picking flowers, figures against a shimmer of mother of pearl ground. Pivot of steel and brass, shaped and textured brass hanger. Lithograph painted at left "Im _ and oacomm" (Perhaps "Imhrime") part obscured by gilding.

Obverse machine embroidered in silk with basket of flowers and to the right an embroirdered bee. Sticks and guards vertivaly pireced and carved. Pivot and hanger of brass.

House Box” for holding a fan which was supplied by the manufacturers when the fan was purchased. Slight wedge shape with hinged lid. Made from stiff card and covered in white paper, embossed to resemble crocodile skin. Interior is padded and lined with cream coloured synthetic fabric. Two pieces of cream ribbon protrude from the hole in the lining at the bottom of the box which is used to tie the fan inside. In lid printed, label reads “DUVELLEROY 11 BOULd DE LA MADELEINE, ANCIENNEMONT PASSAGE DES PANORAMAS.
