Men's evening scarf, French, 1970s. Figured white silk, fringed and marked at one end with a black design and printed name 'Pierre Cardin Paris'. This is an example of the growth of designer clothes so typical of the 1970s and 1980s. It represents the growth of the label as a status symbol in modern clothing. No longer is the label discreetly hidden but is there for all to see and admire.

Oblong mirror with rounded top with dark wooden frame attached to wooden top that enables it to be put on a dressing table etc. Has two small drawers on either side with drop down metal handles. The mirror can be tilted and the frame is carved and decorative.

Lady President's chain of office. Silver and enamel badge attached to a 'gold' chain. The badge is enamelled with the city's arms supported by two unicorns in a similar style to TD3412 and is contained in a small black box with no marks or inscriptions. The badge has the Birmingham hall mark for 1963 and is engraved on the reverse, 'H. J. Turner President 1963'
