Woman's day dress: skirt and jacket and over skirt. 'Tartan' silk with base colour of mauve/ mushroom, horizontal stripes in mid brown. Vertical Perkins purple strikes alternating with fine pink stripes. Possibly worn as a wedding dress in 1850.
