World Archaeology - Egyptology (H3628)
Chapter 1 and Chapter 15 of the ook of the Dead Three fragments of a drawing. One fragment of a woman kneeling infront of part of sundisc with rays coming down from it. Another shows a kneeling woman with one arm up. The final piece shows a man holding a staff (body missing) behind a man (possibly also holding a staff).

Fragments from the Book of the Dead. Other parts in Museo Civico Bologna, Library of the City and University of Frankfurt, and the British Museum Three piece of papyrus in the same mount. 'A' has seated figures above red and (mainly) black hieratic writing. 'B' has three pieces, only the largest has black hieratic writing. 'C' has standing mummified gods with feathers on their heads and row of stars above. It has one register of hieroglyphs above and two below. Plus very small fragments of papyrus. Some have black paint on them. [By 3 different artists, probably from 3 different papyri, but now known to be from one book].

A human adult female left hand, partially wrapped in coarse linen bandages, with part of a (white) faience ring on the third finger. Complete hand encased in preserved skin with fingernails and carpal bones exposed.

A headdress: a lotus flower with obelisk coming out from the middle (feather decoration on either side). It is has part of a pilaster on the back. Both the top and the bottom are broken. It is a green and brown colour.

The remains of a pair of sandals. Both bases are made from at least two layers of flat leather with small rectangular holes around the edge. Both have a rounded heel and a shaped toe end. Some of the straps remain, but in fragments and not attached to the sandal. The left sandal is missing the toe section.

lid of a canopic jar in the form of human head, it has a simple wig which surrounds the face leaving the ears exposed, the top of the head is flat as are the facial features, the face is triangular with facial features picked out in carved detail.
