Decorated pot sherd. Decorated in faded reddish-orange and brown-black pigment. Two parallel lines are painted across from one side to another, with circular and triangular decoration elsewhere. "Elephantine" is written in faded pencil capital letters across the back of the sherd.

A small beige clay jar with an uneven rounded base. It has a bulbous body with a flared neck and a plain rim. There is a moulded face on one side. The eyes, nose and ear (one missing) are applied, the eyebrows and mouth are incised. The whole is covered in red slip which has worn away in places.
