World Archaeology - Egyptology (Ha6377)
This is about two thirds of a wooden writing tablet. Inscribed with black ink on one side and down to half way on the other side. Most of the script is missing from the full side. Writing seems to be demotic (?). Part of handle remains at top - small square piece. On the full side the wood can be seen, where the writing is missing.

Mottled figure fused from black, yellow, light and dark blue pieces of glass. It is moulded in the form of a head and is broken at the bottom of the headress. Its face is intricately moulded, with a smiling face. It wears a headress. It is hollowed out inside.

This is part of a dark brown basalt tablet. It has 3 rows of incised hieroglyphs incised on one side. The other side is smooth. It is probably the base of a figure, as there is traces of a raised part at one end.

Fragment of a mummy cartonnage painted on linen and plaster. It is painted in red ochre, yellow, black and white. There is a full male figure on the left side, who holds a staff in one hand and an ankh symbol in the other. Both arms are down by his side. His skin is painted black. The lower half of another figure with red skin is shown to his right, along with various other hieroglyphs and a bird. It is pinned to a black rectangular board with other mummy cartonnage fragments.

Small rectangular fragment of a painted mummy cartonnage on linen and plaster. It is painted in red ochre over yellow, with part of a black line underneath. It depicts most of the arm of a red painted body. Another fragment is under this number depicting the head of a female figure and other hieroglyphic symbols. The female's face is pale green

Fragment of a mummy cartonnage painted on linen and plaster. It is painted in red ochre, green, yellow, black, orange and white. It depicts part of a geometric border and part of scene showing a plant in a pot, and another sculptural object alongside. It is pierced with a hole near the bottom edge - possibly to attach to mummy bandages. It is pinned to a black rectangular board with other mummy cartonnage fragments.

Part of a shiny blue faience figure moulded in the form of the head of a mummy. It could either be a lid of a coffin or part of a hollow figure (?). The right side of the object is built up with black painted wood. The details are quite intricately incised, with large ears and wearing a wig. There are traces of dark blue paint on the wig and face. The back of the head is hollowed out and is matt green faience.
