World Archaeology - Egyptology (Ha6643)
Limestone sculpture moulded in the form of a seated nude male figure with a disproportionately large phallus protruding from him. His arms are raised and holding a wall and he is seated on the ground or base, which is partly missing. His fingers are detailed, but no facial features are visible. There is a pillar at the end of the wall on which he leans his head.

Dark green matt faience amulet moulded in the form of the head of Khnum. It has a flat circular plain back and a small circle on his head which is pierced widthways. The head is crowned with a disc and snake. There is a double collar around the neck, and he wears a wig and a ram's face.

They are all moulded in the form of Shu kneeling on one leg with arms bent at the elbows, raised above their heads holding up the sky. They all have small rectangular bases, and has a small loop on the back which is pierced for suspension. It has a small beard, and an incised plaited hairpiece, a bare chest, and a pleated skirt. All incised decoration continues around to the back of the figure. Quite detailed moulding.

His facial features are almost non-existant, and he is a rather stout figure, with a bald head. Most of the base is missing. It is pierced widthways through the back of the neck. He has a flat back. His feet seem to be moulded together.

Another is pale green, holds an almost rectangular object above its head, is almost flat, and has a few thick incisions as moulding. This is pierced through the object at the top. Another is pale green matt faience, now mostly beige. It has a large face and is three dimensional. Another is very pale green, and has an incised marking on the object it holds. Its pilaster is partly missing at the back in the middle. The fifth figure is of mid-blue matt faience, and is the most detailed of the five. It has a large circular object on its head.Its feet are missing, and the pilaster tapers of at the top.

6 amulets. Six amulets of pale green, blue and dark blue matt faience, moulded in the form of the stout figure of Ptah-Sokar. All have similar crude modelling of a bald headed man, and have their hands placed on their legs, with stout bowed legs standing on rectangular bases. They are all pierced widthways through a loop at he back of the neck. The largest one is made of dark blue faience and has flattened facial features. The base is more ovoid. Of the two smallest ones, one is pale blue. one is pale green. The other three - one is pale-turquoise green, and has a straight oblong nose. The others are both pale green. One has a more prominent square shaped face, the other has more prominent ears.

He has detailed incised facial markings, and detailed moulding of his nude breast and genetalia. He has a pronounced bottom, and a smooth back, and is pierced widthways through a large loop at the back of the head which has incised lines on it. The other large amulet is white. and again is missing most of its legs. It is similar in stature to the other one, but has a deformed face, and is not as well moulded. It has a flattened loop at the back of the neck, which is pierced widthways. The smallest one is of bright turquoise shiny faience, and stands on an ovoid base. It is crudely modelled, and is pierced widthways through its neck.

Most of the amulets are now a dull brown colour, except for one green and one pale green one. About 2 of the amulets have crudely mouled heads.

All have small beards. The smallest one is pale green mint coloured. Its facial features are absent, replaces with an almost square shape. The object is almost flat. Another figure is more pale turquoise shiny faience, and holds a semi circular object above its head. The base is not quite rectangular, and is narrower at one end. It has an elongated knee, and a pleated skirt. Another is of pale green matt faience. It has a circular object on its head which has a one lined incision in. It has a plaeted skirt, and the top part of the pilaster is missing at the top. Another, pale green, with incised line decoration on the object above its head. The top part is almost flat, the bottom three dimensional. The green faience figure, which is now dark brown, has a more square base, and has more square features than the others. Part of the pilaster is missing at the top. It holds a small thin flat object on its head.

This is four specimens, two of turquoise matt faience, two pale green matt faience, moulded in the form of a crocodile. The largest one, has two crodiles side by side on one base, almost rectangular, rounded at the corners. Only their eyes are moulded, and their skin is smooth. Their tails are missing at the end. It is pierced twice down the centre. The other pale green one has no real base, and has more detailed decoration of scaly skin. It is pierced widthways under the head. Legs are moulded on either side, and the tail is not pointed. The other two are of similar design, both pierced widthways beneath the head. They are of turquoise faience, mounted on small rectangular bases. One has scaled incisions on its back, the other's back is missing.

Another is made of petrol blue faience, is a rather short and stour figures and is pierced through the top of the headress. The navel is indented, and the tail is formed to a point at the back. Another is made of matt faience (now brown) and is pierced through a square loop at the back of the neck. It stands with one leg forward on an almost rectangular base. The smallest figure stands on an almost rectangular base, is crudely moulded and is pierced through a square loop at the back of the neck. The other three are all made of mint green matt faience, and a re pierced through a square loop at the back of the neck. One is smoother and taller, and stands on rounded rectangular base. It has a rather beak like face. The other two are almost identical except one is thinner and has traces of cream residue on it.
