Pair of small mocassins with beaded decoration (blue, yellow, green, and white) on strips of red cloth rough the edge of the show. The pattern on the instep is white beads edging a green woven band and a brown woven band and in the centre on a black background is a gold star worked in beads.

Index card describes this as a 'War knife & Executioner's knife.' Boomerang shape with a small protrusion T shaped on the inner side of the blade 6 cm from the handle. There is an incised decorated band on one side running across the surface from the protrusion. The other side of the blade is decorated with longitudinal incised lines (5) with dotted decoration in between. 'No. 23 in the register.' Collected by Rev. Kenred Smith in Northern Democratic Republic of Congo when it was the Congo Free State and later Belgian Congo. He was primarily based at Bopoto (Upoto) Station, a Baptist Missionary Society post on the Upper River from the years 1896 - 1914.
