Inuit in Bristol
Chronicle of Bristol by William Adams, 1625
William Adams recorded the arrival of the Inuit in 1577 with Captain Frobisher. Calichough was how the sailors and Bristolians heard and spelled the man's name. Ignorth is simply an Inuit word for 'woman', not her personal name.
