Penny Brohn (1943 - 1999) and Pat Pilkington (1928 - 2013) Co-founders of Penny Brohn Cancer Care Centre

These brave pioneers developed the Bristol Approach to cancer care. Penny described this ground-breaking treatment as ‘care for the mind, the spirit, the emotions, the heart and the soul’. The two friends set up a centre in Bristol, which continues to help people live well with the impact of cancer. Originally dismissed by the medical establishment, the Bristol Approach has now become standard practice.
