Wills family (1786 - 1990) Tobacco manufacturers

Generations of Bristolians worked for Wills Tobacco, making brands such as Bristol, Gold Flake and Woodbine. Wills were known as good employers, introducing paid holiday, subsidised canteens and sports and leisure clubs for their workers. Their impact on the city can still be seen today in the Wills building on Park Street and the Tobacco Factory in Southville.
