In 1915, the government compiled a register of all men between 15 and 65 years old who were not in the Armed Forces. Joseph Vaughan Jones was a prison warden at Horfield Prison. As well as criminals sentenced before the war, some Conscientious Objectors were imprisoned at Horfield. TD4564 given by Judith Law
